I first met Mike and Nerina while hunting with another PH in the area. Each time we visited them there always seemed to be plenty of game, and a good variety of species.
I remember one afternoon in particular. We were enjoying a sundowner watching a waterhole when a magnificent Kudu with horns that went over 60” came in to drink. It was common place to see Nyala bulls displaying at the right time of year.
Then in 2009 Mike offered me a chance at a Leopard. That turned out to be one of the best hunts I have had. We had as many as 4 Leopards feeding on different baits at different times. If it had not been for Mike’s persistence, and refusal to quit, I would not have shot my leopard.
Their hospitality, service, and in particular the food was always first class. I hope to be able to hunt with them again soon.
